Be digitally happy!

Hi everyone! So, this is my first post and I want this to be inspiring. So to start, I want to let you know that I don’t have the talent for writing, so please let me be just me (ha ha). I just woke up as I write this blog, I read that creativity kicks in best in the morning. I prayed thanking God for another day, and did a quick  5-minute work out (by Blogilates) to really wake up my senses. You see? I said I’m not good at writing so I really need some extra boost here (hi hi). Let me write about what inspires me a lot in this moment of my life, I want to talk about how God opened opportunities for me through freelancing or virtual assistance.

Before I started freelancing, (sorry I could sound a little dramatic here), I’m in the midst of quarter-life crisis. I won’t detail facts, but I cry a lot when I’m alone. It’s an unhappy feeling when you don’t know where your life is going. My life revolves around my kids who are now almost both in their teen years. During this age,  they don’t cling a lot to me anymore. I think this is when I started the feeling of loneliness, I also have a long distance relationship with my husband, he works in another city and we live in the province with my parents. I long for them to be with me all the time, during this time of my life.

This low times drew me closer to GOD. I go to a Christian church with my kids every Sunday and I turn over my life to GOD. It’s the BEST decision I did for myself and for my family! One time, I was browsing through Facebook and came across an ad by Filipino Virtual Assistance, an online entity that offers courses for freelancing. I was skeptical at first but I pushed through the enrollment, gave my very best in everything, landed some jobs, (yes! I said “some” because I landed 2 jobs within the course), and gained a gold certificate when I finished the course which is, by the way, the highest recognition they give for outstanding students.

I am forever grateful to GOD for directing my steps to freelancing, it changed my life for the better. It opened up a lot of opportunities for me to grow as a person, to help others and earn an income for my family. I aspire to become a Web Designer too so I’m on my second course right now still with Filipino Virtual Assistance, the title of the course is WordPress Web Design which I go through every weekend. I’m learning the basics of WordPress creating pages and posts and create different types of websites.

Going back to my life,  currently, the plan for our dream house is ongoing. We just purchased a small parcel of land in a city where we can also plan for our kids entering college. Sounds easy just by reading right? But no, say hello to sacrifice and work work work! I  believe that we can achieve this by the grace of GOD and perseverance to one day live under one roof as a complete family. I feel blessed that I am able to earn through freelancing and help my husband build the dream house.

So there it goes, “My First Post”. I hope you enjoyed reading a blog from a first time blogger! (ha ha).  Hey, there’s always a first time for everyone, right? Catch me again on my next blog. I hope I inspired you. I believe that a life with God is a blessed life.  Take care and may God bless us all.
